Paglusong At Pag-Ahon: Mga Dagli

Abstract

Set in 2022, in the middle of the pandemic and during a highly polarized national elections, the collection is composed of three flash narratives (dagli) that interrogate rural and urban experiences as geopolitical, socioeconomic, and cultural loci. The two shorter flash narratives portray a semblance of social awakening by tackling the everyday struggles vis-à-vis religious and political cultures of a fifth-class agricultural municipality. The lengthier narrative projects a high school Boys Love (BL) coming-of-age experience during the return to face-to-face classes
