Abstract

Two people meet at the ends of the world where their lives, research, and desires are interconnected and linked with the sightings of dead huia birds. The narrative explores the different forms and shapes of relationships between humans and more-than-humans and their stories of struggle and survival, which is also the story of surviving and living in a continuing time of war and terror.
