Author Guidelines
Article Submission:
Authors should submit an electronic copy to the Editor. Papers submitted must be original, unpublished work not under consideration for publication elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript, an author agrees that the Publisher retains the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article.A manuscript normally comprises between 8,000-9,000 words inclusive of references and bibliography. They should be in English, typed in double spacing. English or American spelling is acceptable provided usage is consistent.
The Peer Review Process:
All manuscripts submitted to the PPSJ are subjected to a double-blind peer review process with at least two anonymous reviewers, usually including one local reviewer and another international reviewer. When no clear decision about the publication of the manuscript is made by the two anonymous reviewers, a third reviewer from among the PPSJ Board of editors participates in the final review process.Authors of manuscripts that are recommended for publication by the reviewers are usually given about three months to complete the revising and rewriting process.
The Citations System:
The PPSJ uses the Harvard reference system for citations. This uses the name of the author, date of publication and, following quoted material, the page reference as a key to the full bibliographical details set out in the list of 138References, which includes in alphabetical order by author, every work cited in the text. Notes should be kept to a minimum and placed at the end of the article before the References.
Tables and figures should not be inserted within the pages of the manuscript but should be submitted on separate sheets attached to the article. Where these tables and figures are reproduced, acknowledgement of source and copyright should be supplied. The desired position for each table or figure should be indicated in the manuscript. Each manuscript submitted should be accompanied by an abstract of the paper of up to 300 words. In addition, a list of up to 7 key words, suitable for indexing, abstracting services and on-line searching purposes should be supplied. A brief biographical note about the author of about100 words, including the author’s email address, should also be supplied on a separate sheet.
