Abstract

"Huwag Mo Akong Bigyan ng Bulaklak" is about the enlightenment of women from the truth behind the promises of romantic love. It serves as reminder to everyone that courtship, may it be precedent or within the relationship, must not be a mechanism to lure people, especially women. In the end, the poem conveys a message that it is better to be alone than to be locked up in an abusive relationship.
